Why do we use hops in the United States?

Good question. I learned hops originated in China. Hops are not beer. Let me term it "intrudor" not "beer". Beer is/was known to be nutritious for you. Somehow we got side railed in America and brainwashed to use hops for fermenting,not beer, but as we now will call the intrudor.

Okay, through the tea trade became a war between England, France and China. It was known as the Opium Wars. England gained control of most of China. France maybe some, maybe Vietnam! Now, who convinced American farmers to use hops instead grains to ferment for the all-time favorite--beer? Hops are poisonous. Someone has brainwashed Americans to poison Americans!

I also read that beer, fermented grains, a) is volatile (spoils quickly)--so what drink it fast! b) was a cheap way to get nutrition c) is it okay to add flavors to beer? sure, blueberry beer is fantastic!
