Evergreens And Gray Skies...

I arrived in the Pacific Northwest a few days ago. [Oregon] I feel at home. The temperature is cool, the sky is full of nimbus gray clouds and my eyes search on forever in a rolling landscape of evergreen trees. We have dark and bright greens in the foreground while the depth of color slowly fades to the backdrop. It's amazing that the hazy background has that much wilderness!

Some people complain about the gray days of the Pacific Northwest but what is more comforting than a blanket in the sky when you have a home with a wood burning fire place, a cup of coffee and a picture window to keep you entertained? [Seattle]
