Why are companies like Starbuck's turning off their WiFi after hours? It was 8:30 PM, I made it to the coffee house but they were closed and wireless turned off. It is not just this location it happens all the time.

What if a traveler seeks you out on the road but arrives to find no wireless for help. Why does it matter? Is it more of a lawsuit for having on or off?
