What Happened To Camping Culture?

The government's excuse to shut down services and make retirees homeless was--COVID. It's no longer COVID. COVID is a cop-out. And why, would you shut down campgrounds--it's mostly outdoors, open air and in your own space. The only hiccup was cleaning the bathrooms--wear a mask and wash your hands is the answer. Why were campgrounds boycotted? And still out of service? Or why, has it taken so long? Are park rangers on paid leave, unemployment and/or found new careers?
