Okay, let's think positively! I am naturally pessimistic and opposites come to mind quite often--mostly, the negative first! What can I say?
The first time I visited Los Gatos a number of years ago--I loved it! The name means "The Cats", how cool is that? They have cat statues around town and a made up variety at that and it's quaint yet not. It's walkable, it can be personable--if you have money to spend, and it's predominately--white.
Things I see going for it--it's shopping district structure, music in the park and, of course, the Wine Walk? If you want to shop stay along Santa Cruz Avenue--I guess you can venture from North side to the South side but most shops are on the South side of Saratoga Road. Now, you can enjoy Jazz in the Plazz on Wednesdays or Music in the Park on Sundays. Free. Bring your own food and wine! (No blankets--they are too soft and cuddly.) And, the Wine Walk is a booze fest. Walk your way around town and try different wines--pre-apply!
What else goes on around town in Silicon Valley? San Jose is a good city to visit. There is a street of eats similar to Murphy Avenue in Sunnyvale but in the heart of downtown San Jose--I have yet to check it out. There are murals to see, a convention center and plenty of possibilities for investment!
Sunnyvale has the best library layout and even has the Library of Things! There is a Target, Goodwill and is where public transportation converges.
