To Hold Dear

I have heard Eskimos have seven words for snow. It makes me ponder the English word "love". I know I over use it to describe my like for something or someone but it is too strong of a statement most of the time and can be misunderstood! So I am working on a list of words that I feel more comfortable putting in my vocabulary! I have checked my old friend the thesaurus!

Love means "to hold dear" according to Merriam-Webster. Similarly, we can use admire and appreciate...maybe I will make up some terms in the future that will debut in the Scrabble dictionary!
