Repulsive and pungent.
Where? I first learned the smell of death when we would go camping around Eastern Washington. The backroads and cattle guards are where we came across dead cows. The aroma permeated the air. The visual was grotesque. A corpse, typically, partially eaten and bloated with maggots and flies.
I am reminded of this from time to time. In particularly, Los Gatos. The library--its in the grass on the west side. Plus this location is haunted. Another place the stench arises is on University Avenue where the park's gates open and seems to be a composting receptacle.
Please investigate!
