Sure, there were coffee shops and diners before Starbuck's Coffee. But Seattle's Coffee Master's trip to Italy created an eye-opening experience--the espresso bar. Coffee has never been the same in America since he made use of this phenomenon and spread it across the universe!
Sure, Starbuck's has high prices and the industry follows...but is it justified? One of his established policies is to allow outside food in his coffee shop--a place for everyone to hand out, no matter what your bank account!
Is this the trade-off? Higher prices and seats for all? If so, I like it. Status coffee and supporting the poor to hang out alongside the uppers!
