Taxidermy

May be a lost art? I popped into a barber shop for a need. I was in awe of what I was surrounded by...taxidermy. Three women, three chairs and taxidermy!

Normally, I would not be supportive? I question that. I am amazed at taxidermy...I like to see the animals. I would rather see them alive and enjoying life. But what do we do in this case? We are hunter gatherers by evolution! Their meat (most) nourished us; their hides clothed us and sheltered us and kept us warm; and their souls inspire us! We keep a record of their existence by drawing, photography and taxidermy. I even had a drawing professor who borrowed taxidermy fowl from an Audubon Society for our class to draw...
