Snoqualmie Falls
A half hour to hour drive from down town Seattle. A powerful falls to view and hike down below. Make dinner reservations at the lodge; and a facial at the spa!
Molbak's
A nursery located in Woodinville is a sight not to miss at holiday time...(maybe now is a good time to get holiday merchandise on sale! Some interior gifts, outdoor supplies, plants (indoor and outdoor) and a cafe. Grab a hot chocolate and shop around! (This is maybe an hour's drive from Seattle.)
Chateau St. Michelle
While you are in Woodinville, you may as well visit and go wine tasting at Chateau St. Michelle! Check their website out for summer concerts!
McMineman's Restaurants
Time for a passport and scavenger hunt! If you are looking for something to do this rainy afternoon--go get familiar and have a nice meal and drink as well. It's a historic preservation effort!
Discovery Park
Seattle's best kept secret. Located on a large hill overlooking Puget Sound. Hikes and trails throughout the old military property. I have visited the park but I am always afraid I will get lost within the park's trails.
