Progress By Numbers

One winter evening I ended up downtown San Jose and found refuge in a hotel bar. With music in the room, I was enthralled and intrigued--a DJ I hadn't heard of before! His music had the beat--and his equipment: desirable. I noticed artists singing solos showing off. One sounded like the woman who sings "Dance Monkey," another sounded like Doja Cat and another recognizable voice comes from The End 107.7 play list.

Music selection: "Dance Monkey" by Tones and I

The night was near an end as I had heard it was after 2:00 AM. I left uneasy and stayed away from the group that traveled down the sidewalk. The vocalists had played with the equipment while the DJ was in the bathroom and seemed to harm it/him.

I don't know who Progress by Numbers is. I cannot find him on the internet or video channel. I know he had a banner with his name on it in front of his equipment while he played his talented music. What happened to Progress by Numbers at the Hyatt's Mosaic Bar in San Jose that winter night?
