Drugs are used to control people. (Read into that as much as you would like...) Don't get duped into trying drugs like opium-->today's opioids, heroine, and cocaine can do the same thing! It can lure you into prostitution and make you lose property--whether that is your prized possessions or your home!
Opium addiction was debilitating to Chinese peoples. Chinese used this against the Chinese. And the English used it against the Chinese in the mid 19th century, where Western powers gained commercial privileges and territorial control in China.
By the way, who's allowing opioids in the United States? Opiates are not obsolete in Europe but more regulated. In 2016, opioids killed 100 people a day in the U.S. (Europe's Silent Opioid Epidemic) Why is the U.S. government continuing the allowance of addictive debilitating opioids to be prescribed? Why do victims of opioid prescriptions eventually go homeless--losing everything they have?
Why is opium and opioid sound so similar?
Why are the homeless, homeless?
P.S. Make poppy seeds illegal!
The English and the French were involved in the Opium Wars and both gained territorial control in China. Is it true that both England and France control China? Who pulls the strings?
