On Ripped Jeans...

A long time ago I wore ripped jeans to college. It was the late 90's and my love for these ripped jeans Levi's was my secret. Years later, I started seeing others wearing ripped jeans--fine by me. But now, it's 2023 and 1998 was over two decades ago! I think the only other fashion trends that has lasted this long is jeans itself and Diane Von Furstenberg's wrap dress!

I think it is unfortunate that I go into a store today and cannot find any blue jeans without some sort of manufactured wear and tear! And the trend is branching out! I am seeing ripped sweaters (or those with holes) and ripped nylons (yuck!). And they are even making ripped jeans for men...my tidbit...it's old news.

P.S. In circa 1997, my ripped jeans came from the thrift store! I loved the fit...and I didn't mind the gaping hole at the time. I loved pairing it with my 1970s leather blazer jacket and my Steve Madden cognac platform boot!
