On Becoming Independent...?

When I was in transition from divorce to a single adult; I knew I would have to provide for myself. I thought what could I do with my degrees? Anthropology and Photography are my background in which includes a well rounded experiences in art classes and art history courses. I thought I would be an Art Therapist! I looked into Bastyr College north of Seattle. I talked to admissions and I did my research! I wanted to move back to Washington State and have a career, but Art Therapists weren't a requirement for any entity to hire. I scratched those plans. And in retrospect, I wish I bargained for a Master's Degree education or the Art Therapist Degree in my divorce! Also, during my divorce, I was mentally ill. In mediation I stood and stated "I want to walk away with nothing." I wanted out; but lacked the knowledge to bargain my way into a live-able situation after divorce! (And I don't think I told my lawyer about my mental illness...)
