Music: Did You Know?

The music industry baffles me. I don't know how or why radio gets to play music for free--and same with the Alexa. You may make a request with the radio station and it may or may not get played. You may ask Alexa to play a song and I believe that is at no charge--I would like to see the bill! (Insight taken from their commercials!) You may pay for Pandora or Spotify for other streaming methods and I hope the musicians get paid! But did you know you should pay musicians a fee to play their music in your business? If you are making money...so should they! I know you have to pay a fee to play a song in a movie, concert, or play, but I didn't know there was a streaming service for businesses! It's called touchtimes.com!
Did you know itunes allows you to download or copy a song you have purchased eight times? Read the fine print! It this legal? Who knows until someone challenges it! Word to the wise--stop buying single songs and buy the whole album! --Who can survive on $1.25?
I choose CDs because I don't trust the internet, cloud storage, or my computer!
Happy listening...kexp.org and c895.org.
