Jail Time No. 2

Last week I found myself at Starbuck's in the wee hours of the morning! I was there near opening. I bought a 16 oz milk and got a 20 oz ice water. I was enjoying the warmth of the place so I closed my eyes--for too long. The person duty came over to me and said there was no sleeping in the store and walked away. I nodded and said okay. But I was not sleeping. I was simply enjoying myself and the warmth for awhile. Not slumped over, not leaning--just so. I did it again, the manager came over and said I would have to leave. I said no. He said he would have to call the police. I said, "Go ahead". The police were called. I had barely drank my paid for milk. And the police came. They immediately said I would have to leave due to trespassing charges after hearing the person's on duty's story. I told them I wanted to make a police report and I was denied but the Starbuck's employee's statement was taken! Biased and untrue statements.

I refused to leave, so I got jail time! That's right, the Los Gatos Police Department took me to jail. I was there for four hours.

Before the uncomfortable police vehicle ride, where they hand-cuffed me and treated me like a serious criminal, they took my belongings and split them in half! Some went in to police holding "for safe keeping" meanwhile, my medications and cell phone stayed with me. But not my charger. I asked for my charger and they said I couldn't have it!
