On my road trip in California, in the middle of the night I was in a construction line, stopped, and got pulled over by a construction worker. Then approached by the police. The did DUI testing on me. I did fine and laughed at them. They made me go to the police station in the back of a police vehicle (very uncomfortable!). They did more DUI testing, I did fine. They had me do a blood test against my will. They put me in jail with $5,000 bail. they didn't let me get phone numbers out of my cell phone and the phone in my cell didn't work. I could not call a lawyer or a family member. That night, prior to the DUI testing, I did not have anything to drink but Pepsi and had some liquid baby Tylenol! I think the liquid baby Tylenol had opioids in it! My amount that showed up on the blood test wasn't enough to prosecute and not my fault! Who knew a controlled substance would be in baby Tylenol? I had a court date set on the sixth day in jail. On that day, they freed me with no court and no explanation. I was released with my vehicle impounded and a dead cell phone and $60.00. They put my purse in my car! I spent a week homeless without a car. I was placed in a homeless shelter and eventually got my car back.
I was wrongly accused! Like so many others...
