It maybe some unknown factor,

That occurred before you were born.

...Like a scar...

That you would forever adorn.

Something that drives you to search,

For euphoria beyond your dreams--

Some other reality...

A happy place it seems...

But let me tell you this---

Healing is on its way...

For sure...

It starts, day by day!

I got the idea to write this poem while sitting in an Alcoholic's Anonymous (AA) Meeting. I was going as an "advocate" not an actual alcoholic myself...
