Farm Share.

One of the things I learned about from living in Maine was Farm Share. It is a program at a nearby farm that divides out portions of in-season produce grown at their farm! Unfortunately, the one I took part in gave us bad corn--wormy corn for weeks in a row! Do your research and ask around as to what farm is the best fit for you!

There are some farms that offer farm stands on their property. Seek and ye shall find!

Another way to utilize your local farmer (or rancher) is to buy a whole cow and maybe split it with another family. Go halfsies!
