Today, I am thinking about my unfortunate stay in the Fairfield, California jail.
Years ago I watched a video about a jail in Northern Europe and below is a similar look into how they go about jail time. Now it is not just murderers in jail--there are also DUIs and theft. But did one actually investigate how one got into the situation? Even...a murderer?
I know my time was unjustified! 6 days in the Fairfield jail without court from being pulled over in a stopped construction line in Rio Vista! B.S. A year ago.
The homeless are an abused people. Employers won't give them jobs (or they are taken advantage of) and the government keeps them destitute by keeping them on disability with too little money to make ends meet and a limit on their bank account! There is no housing for disability (mental or physical) persons, nor those with lower incomes like retirees...even your United States veteran is homeless--maybe he realizes he has post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or not but any case--they served you in the military and now they are on the streets.
When you are homeless and desperate for money you come to desperate measures and it may even go against your morals but you are determined to survive. This may put you in jail.
Why people turn their backs on humanity and even feel more pity for their homeless pet is disturbing. They come as a package--treat them both with respect and find out what happened; why the U.S. system doesn't work--for low-income housing or jail.
