Dear Los Gatos, California

I am a creative individual who loves art, design and advertising. My work background has a wide variety of experiences which gives me insight to many different areas! I have had soft treatment design which included visualizing the product, drawing the product and picking out fabrics for the product with or without a client. Designing framing projects is another experience. And don't get me wrong...there were plenty of "design" projects in art school--especially in 2-D Design class!

One thing I love I took to just about every retail situation (fine art gallery, designer clothing store, furniture store, and coffee house) is visual merchandising! I learned the basics right out of high school being employed at Eagle Hardware and Garden where we had to face-out and make the department presentable for the next day--this was done by walking through the area with the manager at the end of the night before we could clock out! Every night! I also learned valuable design principles in Interior Design classes at Highline Community College (now Highline College) and the Art Institute of Seattle (degree not finished!).

I am looking for work in Los Gatos, California or close by. I studied Anthropology and I love people of all kinds. For the most part, I would love to work with creativity and design! I have office skills too, not just a retail setting. I have done meeting minutes for a Board at the Sun Valley Airport Manager's Office and spent about 2 years in that office setting. I have temped and worked a few receptionist positions (greeting architectural professionals and clients; reserving conference rooms; and ordering food) and office work (filling and data entry--not ideal!) I also studied photography in Maine and did an internship at the Maine Historical Society.

There is difficulty in finding work. I realize people aren't verifying who I am (once named Alysia Walker). Please let me know and ask me questions...I will seek legal counsel on those who do not verify on who I am and deny where I have been to school and worked!
