Dark And Stormy

Growing up we had a house that overlooked the valley. The living room had a big picture window that overlooked this view. As a child, I loved watching the storms roll through. An ominous sky with thunder and bolts of lightning would fill the sky! I am not so sure the lightning and thunder storms still occur--I wonder why? (Could it be, contrails?)
