Well, I know a little about coffee. I know its a tropical plant--normally the rainforest is torn down in order to plant and grow coffee trees on a plantation. There is another option--shade grown coffee. This tree is located within the forest and people pick the coffee bean in the shade of the canopy. This type of coffee is more earth friendly and typically fair trade. What is fair trade? Where the product is priced at a fair price to support the workers of the plantation and all along the way.--Its sustainable.

A good cup of joe is on that is to your palette's liking. There is light, medium, and dark roasts. You may be surprised to know the lighter the roast the more caffeine it has! That's because the longer the bean stays in the roaster the more nutrients and caffeine it loses.

So you French Roast lovers are getting the least amount of caffeine and burnt bean with a dark flavor!
